As of January 1, 1997, the Board of Ethics for Elected Officials and the Commission on Ethics for Public Employees were dissolved and replaced with the Louisiana Board of Ethics -- a single entity. This site contains rulings, advisory opinions and consent opinions issued subsequent to the first meeting of the Louisiana Board of Ethics in February of 1997. Rulings made by the previous bodies can be found at the Louisiana Ethics Administration Program office. The documents are full-text indexed in three Lotus Domino R5 databases, under the appropriate section of law.
